Swiss-born illustrator and author Cosey quit school at an early age in the late 1960's to apprentice to the only professional comics author, Claude de Ribeaupierre, living in Switzerland at that time. From his collaboration with Ribeaupierre, Cosey developed an interest in oriental philosophy and a lifelong friendship.
Cosey’s comics are not the classic adventure stories in which heroes save the world or catch the thief. His characters are individuals on a quest to reconcile their pasts and their memories. His characters, like the most famous “Jonathan,” travel on extensive journeys in order to find peace.
